The problem is those igloo hog homes are not designed for feeding. Apart from anything else they are not easy to clean and they provide good hiding places for external parasite eggs. You would be better off getting wooden houses if you want to use them for feeding. Then you can clean them out with boiling water from time to time to get rid of parasite eggs. The ones that open from above are easier to deal with, in general.
