If I were you, I would contact your nearest carer and take their advice. It does sound odd to me that the hog didn’t eat the normal food and 5 does seem early at this time of year. If the hog isn’t able to eat normally, it may be malnourished.
If you can’t contact your usual hog carer/rehabilitator, you can get contact details of others by ringing 01584 89080.
