It’s possible that the hedgehogs have disappeared for hibernation at this time of year so hopefully they’ll be back in the Spring, if not before.

There isn’t really anything you can do about the mice, especially bearing in mind what tiny gaps they can fit through. Helping wildlife often means that we also inadvertently help another species! The only consolation is that mice don’t eat too much – although they might take some away to cache. Maybe the best thing to do is enjoy watching their antics whilst the hogs aren’t around.
