Hi Nic, happy to say no rats here lately, there was a problem for a while but they seem to have left for their holidays some time ago.

I didn’t get any more feedback about the hoglets I rescued in the autumn, the last I heard one was doing well & gaining weight but nothing about the other & I think it’s because the rescue was far too busy for updates. Hopefully both were released in safer areas as here is far from ideal with few actual gardens & strimmers abound in those that have a few blades of grass. Not to mention the very fast roads. I’ve always been amazed any survive to visit my garden.

Hope all’s well, nice you have the butterflies, here they’re mostly the large & small White & Speckled Woods & some Mint Moths. Oodles of big fat fluffy bees though on the lavender & escallonia etc & lots of other interesting pollinators.

Very sadly after months of illness we had to say goodbye to our beloved little cat at the end of October, still haven’t got over losing her. She spotted our first ever hedgehog years ago coming out of the outdoor cat kennel.
