Celebrating hedgehogs

14th June 2022

The last few weeks have seen many of our amazing Hedgehog Champions take part in community street parties and events to promote the worthy hedgehog cause. Whether part of the Queen’s jubilee celebration, community roadshows or church fetes, you have been out in force distributing leaflets, demonstrating hedgehog houses and mapping sightings:

Lily, one of the pupils at St Alban’s CE Primary built a hedgehog home with her dad after attending the school’s nature community roadshow.

Lisa Hill spread the word at her Jubilee street party, encouraging her neighbours to put highways in their fences so her nightly visitors can roam farther.
Anne-Marie Chatwin set out a stall at her local church fete. She sold homemade feeding stations and raised money for a local hedgehog rescue.

We love to see what our Champions are up to, so if you take part in an event or spread the word somehow please do let us know!

You can request leaflets from us at hedgehog@ptes.org
