The prime suspects would be cats/rats/mice/hedgehogs, but it’s possible that you have other wildlife around as well. It depends a bit on the size of the house and entrance to it. But during daylight, my guess would be cats. Often cats will leave the bowl almost completely empty, whereas the others would normally leave a little bit.
