I would ring the advice line 01584 890801. They can advise you if you think this hog is unwell (and it’s not normal for it to be around in the daytime). They can tell you where your nearest rescue centres are, where it can be taken care of if it needs support. You would, of course, need to pick it up if you are advised to take it to a rescue place, but this is easy and safe if you wear gloves. First give them a ring and see what they say.
