So sorry to hear the little hog didn’t make it. But you did really well getting help for it, even if it didn’t work this time.
You are right, it isn’t normal for hogs to be out during the day. Hoglets are particularly vulnerable, as being so tiny, any problems they get can have more impact on them.
Fingers crossed for the other little one and all the adults, too. You never know you might even get some more little ones appearing from somewhere.
