Hello laurabiding ,
I’m not a hedgehog expert or anything like that this is just from the experiences that I have had with hedgehogs in my garden

We have about 3 or 4 regulars that come in our garden most nights but we occasionally get a few odd ones that will just come and get a snack and we wont see them again.

We used to only have one bowl and we watched the hedgehog we had through our window eating he food but then another one came along and was head butting him out the way. He ran off and the other one ate all the food

The next night we put another bowl out and that really helped because they would just eat the food and wouldn’t fight and it was so nice to watch.

As I said Earlier I’m not a hedgehog expert this is just from the experience I’ve had so your probably will be best to wait for the experts but I thought I’d send this just in case it helped you Hope you find a solution , good luck 🙂
