Hello nick,
I think they were a male and female as you said because we’ve only been getting one coming into our garden so maybe they have mated and the female has gone off to have her babies – our neighbour has decking and there’s a hole in our fence that leads under the decking and before one of them disappeared we saw it taking some debris through the hole so hopefully we will have some hoglets coming to visit soon 🙂
