Thanks for your response Nic. I knew it would sound a silly question since hogs being wild creatures don’t live in a sterile environment. ! It is that this fungus is one I haven’t noticed before – it is white, shaped similar to an oyster shell and quite profusive. As this log/wood pile is close to the house I built for them, thought hogs may avoid nesting close by if it’s too poisonous. But then they know what is best for them and if they prefer to live under my sheds so be it.
