Hi Bushsnuffler

I know people usually think the hogs are fighting over food, but I’m not convinced that is always the case. Very often the aggressor doesn’t show any interest in the food. It may be that the male hogs are just intolerant of having other hogs in their personal space and that the behaviour just happens around food because we are inadvertently encouraging them to congregate there. It would not be normal for them to congregate otherwise, unless more than one was attracted by a female.
