Yes, the book would make a good present to leave if anyone had to move house and hogs visited the garden. With added details of Hedgehog Street, of course!

Sorry to hear the hogs aren’t visiting you at the moment. Don’t give up, they may turn up again. There are often times of year when they seem to change their habits a bit. The males especially have larger ranges and so may be spending more time in other parts of them. Females will sometimes disappear for a while if they have youngsters.

New security lights which go on and off are not ideal, but hogs seem to get used to lights which stay on and they don’t seem to bother them. Some apparently even get used to security lights. Fences are more difficult, but maybe you could try for Britain’s biggest Hedgehog Street :

There is a poster included in that information. You never know, even one extra hog hole has got to be an improvement.
