Hi Sammie1

Welcome to the Forum!

Hogs do normally build special nests for hibernation, called hibernacula. They would normally not be the same place they may have spent days or even given birth during the warmer months. They move nests (sometimes even during hibernation time) not least to minimise the problems with external parasites. Having said that, some hogs can be quite perverse so there is no guarantee. She could decide to build her hibernaculum in or around your pile of ‘junk’.

If possible, one solution might be another hog house! That might encourage her out of the ‘junk’ pile and into a new ‘des res’.

Good luck and happy hog watching!
