The hedgehogs could’ve been hibernating. If they were dead, do you happen to know if there are any pesticides nearby? Slug pellets are particularly dangerous to hedgehogs. They’re a likely cause of death if the hedgehogs were exposed to them. They are easily mistaken as dead when they’re hibernating though.
