One of our hedgehogs Boris regularly rubs his chin along the ground; it always seems to be after a visit to the food bowls so I do wonder if he is just dusting off a few crumbs. He also has a particular talent for putting his body into all sorts of strange contortions in order to get to that niggling itch, whilst still managing to feed his face at the same time! 🙂
