We have been feeding hedgehogs for 4 years and get up to 5 regularly.
Never a problem they turn up sometimes before the food dishes and no losses until yesterday.
Now we are uncertain about continuing with the feeding as the predator might take advantage.
Should we stop feeding so the hedgehogs go elsewhere or what?
We don’t know what the predator was but suspect it was a badger, though we’ve not had a sighting of one for more than 3 years. The heads of the 2 were missing.

    What should we do?

Oh hell, that is so sad to hear, any hedgehog losses, however natural they are,is still a great shame, especially when they have been so regular in their visits,so ,so sorry to hear of your losses. I now have 2,possibly a third residing in my two hog houses, just set up this summer.Have had a fox or two visit, but thankfully no casualties🙏🏼.My condolences on you loss.

Ps,have 2 feeding stations set up nightly, which gives the hogs some protection,at least when feeding👍🏻,Cheers, from newbie,Shada.

If it’s a badger it will keep returning as long as there is food so I suggest you stop feeding for a while
