For over 6 years now I have been championing hedgehog awareness in my area. I live on a reasonable busy street that junctions with a main road into and out if the city. Every year I have seen an increase in hedgehog roadkills on my street and main road. So far this year, two this week! Over the years I have contacted council about placing up official signage, but reply was contact highways agency who in turn says there needs to be an offical survey before any signs can be put in place and my observations of roadkills are not sufficient. I have logged them on the hedgehog street seen a hedgehog, and it breaks my heart everytime i have to log a roadkill. Can this data used be used officially? I have put my own signage up but not in areas I would like them to been seen clearly by drivers, as they’ll be seen as obstructions and taken down by the council. How do I go about getting offical signage? PeaceShedTinker
