Hedgehog House
-
Hello and good morning.
I’ve been support feeding my garden hedgehogs now since about August last year. I purchased a hedgehog house which I placed under a low shrub bush which conceals it and offers further protection from wind and rain. I’ve also made a feeding station for them. I have a camera placed inside the feeding station and I also have a camera outside the hedgehog house, so I’m always getting plenty of activity.
My hedgehog seems to be using the house almost all of the time as I watch him come and go every night. Lately I’ve noticed that he/she is collecting more material for the house so I’ve provided it with extra straw. It didn’t take it long to use it all up.
Tonight I’ve had another Hedgehog turn up to feed that looked healthy but was quite a bit smaller and more fury around the face and head. It looks quite a bit hunger but not a baby.
Would it be normal to see what looks like such a young hog now?
They seemed quite happy feeding together and went their separate ways early the next morning.
