Our back garden backs onto fields, and every now and then, especially in Autumn, we do see the occasional rat.
Last night, the wildlife cam caught our hedgehog steadily feeding from the bowl, while the rat repeatedly crept in and appeared to steal a bit of food and retreat. What do we do about this? Admittedly, the hedgehog didn’t seem to be too bothered, but we don’t want to encourage rats! Perhaps we should stop feeding? Concerned about whether a rat would use the hedgehog house as well. Any advice or experience of this problem very welcome.
