    Hi,
Wondering if there are any Hedgehog Champions near me who would like to meet up to discuss and exchange ideas.
I’ve just registered as a Hedgehog Champion. I live in Goudhurst, Kent.
    Cheryl 🙂

    Hello Cheryl,
I’m not near you unfortunately; I live near Margate, so a bit far to come and share a chat. However, if you are thinking of and able to do the presentation please let me know as, I have a “date” at Horsmonden next year which would be much closer to you. A long way off but if I still go ahead, would you like to come along for the experience.
I am the Hedgehog Champion at my local Nature Reserve, twin bits of conservation and education, so the Talks are usually, schools, Gardening Groups etc.

    Hi Roy,
Ah that’s a shame. I organised a talk for our village last week, but it was poorly attended. I think going forward, I’ll focus on talks on behalf of groups, as it’ll be easier to get bums on seats.
A stall on the Village Plain however, was much better. I also have a stall at the Goudhurst Fete on 14 June so if you’re this way, do pop in!
Funnily enough I’m doing a talk to a group called Women on Wednesday on the 21st May 2025, which is also in Horsmonden! Who and where is your talk? I could hopefully come along.

    Hello Cheryl,
I “do” all sorts of groups, as well as schools and one offs down at the Nature Reserve.
Hosmonden Gardening Society is confirmed in the Village Hall on Tuesday 12th May. They “kick off” at 19:30.
Kent doesn’t look too big on the map but living in the very North East of it, as I do is not too good for accessing other areas quickly. I’ve got a presentation at High Halstow in July but would prefer not to go too far.
I don’t charge or get petrol money for talks but, almost without exception, groups don’t mind making a donation to BHPS, for whom I collect from the Range.

Ah good luck with the talk, hope it goes well!
