Potentially ill hedgehog in garden

    Hi all!
I’ve been feeding the hedgehogs in my garden for about 2 months now (they get dry hedgehog food and plenty of water bowls that are cleaned daily) and I got a camera about a few weeks ago so I can watch the footage back in the morning. One of our regulars however seemed in pain last night, she/he came throughout the night as normal and was eating but started making a sort of high pitched whining noise but continued to eat for a bit. She/he then started what looked like heaving squeezing of their stomach and they stopped eating. This lasted about 5 minutes and then they walked away fine and happened once again in the night, again coming back both times to the bowls about 20mins later seeming completely fine.
What should I do if anything?
We do have one who has made a nest in a box in our garden and has slept there for just over 3 weeks now (I’m not sure if its the same one) and we aren’t sure if this one is pregnant or just likes it there so could it be early contractions if they were pregnant and its the same hedgehog?
    Any help greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Hi
You need to catch the hog and get it checked over either by your nearest carer or local vet as soon as possible.
Let us know how it goes
