We’ve recently moved into a new home. The garden was over run with over grown trees. We’ve cleared it all and now have lots of branches, grass and hedge cuttings on the garden floor.
This morning we saw something moving in the garden and to our surprise it was a hedgehog.
We assume it’s a nesting female. She has gathered lots of nesting material and dug herself a home in our boarder under an old trellis I pulled down the day before.
We are so happy to have her in our garden. It has given us so much hope to create a wildlife garden that is beneficial to all creatures.

Congratulations for having a hedgehog to greet you in your new home. Try not to disturb your new found friend, as they don’t like it. There is a mountain of information here on feeding and watering. They do drink a lot. A wildlife garden is a good idea. And welcome to the forum.

Cogratulatons with having the hog in your garden! πŸ™‚
