This year Hedgehog Awareness Week takes place from Sunday 1st to Saturday 7th May! Keep an eye on PTES and BHPS social media, plus the hashtag #HedgehogWeek, for competitions, tips, videos and more.

An evening with Hedgehog Street
Join us on Tuesday for An Evening with Hedgehog Street, with free talks covering topics from hedgehog research and conservation, through to community action and engagement.
BHPS turns 40!
Just before Hedgehog Awareness Week, on the 30th April, BHPS are celebrating their 40th birthday! The charity was founded back in 1982 by Major Adrian Coles MBE, and since then have been working to help and protect our native UK hedgehogs. This of course includes running Hedgehog Street with partners People’s Trust for Endangered Species! You can join in the celebrations on the 30th April by granting hoggy birthday wishes; hedgehog highways, supplementary food and water, wild corners, leaf piles and ditching pesticides.
Hedgehog Friendly Campus’ activity pack
Hedgehog Friendly Campus have released a Hedgehog Awareness Week activity pack for primary school children! It’s jam-packed full of info and activities to get school staff and children learning about hedgehogs and how to help them.
