The State of Nature in Britain

23rd May 2013

Yesterday a report was launched by 25 different organisations looking at the state of wildlife in Britain. The conclusions are a call to action, for hedgehogs and many other species. 60% have declined and 1 in 10 is at risk of extinction…

Last night Sir David Attenborough launched the report in the Natural History Museum in London.  Our towns and countryside are losing the plants and animals that so many people hold so dearly. MP Richard Benyon gave an unconvincing declaration of commitment from the government.

The People’s Trust for Endangered Species were there flying the flag for Hedgehog Street.
