Home Forums Hedgehog signs and sightings Absent Hedhehogs Reply To: Absent Hedhehogs

We have been quite worried for the last 4 days. Having fed at least one hedgehog every night since hibernation, no food has been taken and there’s been no sign of any hog activity. Our course we fear the worst, but it’s nice to see a few positive ideas here and to see that we’re not alone.

A mum gave birth to four little hoglets in our garden last summer and at least two were still frequenting our garden into December, then at least one hibernated in our hedgehog home. As we’ve been following a hedgehog pretty much since birth, it’s inevitable any absence is going to get us a bit worried.

For how long do we keep leaving food out for our guests who never seem to show up anymore? Really miss our hedgehog, do hope it returns.
