Home Forums Hedgehog signs and sightings Badger! Reply To: Badger!

#23039

I’ve had similar sightings in my garden and am currently trying to dissuade a fox from visiting. They may seem to get along with adult hogs but there is plenty of evidence that they can cause problems, particularly for hoglets. I had a badger visit a couple of years ago and, apart from leaving big poo filled holes they caused damage to the fence by tunnelling and they are bad news for hogs. I think you need to find out where it’s getting in and try and block this off. I used heavy slabs, old kitchen work surfaces and anything else that I could find . He eventually lost interest and went off to easier pickings. I make sure as well that hog food and water is secured under cover. Good luck!
