So glad to find this thread. A few nights ago I heard a loud chuffing noise in the garden. It was almost dark but I could just make out 2 hogs on the path. The larger one was circling the smaller and making the chuffing noise. This went on for nearly an hour! I was worried that it was some sort of territorial dispute but from what you’ve said above I’m happy to hear that it sounds more like it was a mating ritual. Yay. 🙂
