Hi. I’m delighted to say that our hedgehog box is being used and we have hoglets. I think they are about 11 days old now. I accidently discovered them just after birth and fortunately mum did not abandon the nest as had been active day and night (trail cam) since.

Strangely there are two adults sharing the box with the hoglets. Is this unusual? They are both making day time foraging trips and I’m beginning to wonder of there are two families? Sometimes the other adult sleeps in the box next door and sometimes shares the nest box.

    Any ideas gratefully received!

Wow!!, how lucky you are👌🙏, I currently have a female using 1 of the 2 hog houses I made this year, and set up in a shrubby, sheltered corner of the garden. I too was surprised to find two hogs huddled together in the hog house, but think it had more to do with the heavy rain over that night, convenience I think
,lol. The female has had a large Adult male around her 2-3 weeks ago, and she is now adding leaves etc to the house, and? , she does look a good bit bigger than she did a few weeks ago??. Don’t know for sure??,and tbh,it’s going to be a bit late in the year for having a litter?. She is eating very well on the supplementary foods and fresh water I put out in the 2 feeding stations, last night, and she appeared to be the only hog about, and she cleared all the pellets and wet dog food I put out.??. I also had a younger Hedgehog stay over a few nights in the 2nd hog house, but wasn’t there yesterday, or this morning when I did a quick check, must have moved on??.Please post up pictures of the Hoglets when it’s safe to do so, would love to see them❤️🙏👌👍, Cheers
