Up until now, we have not had many hogs at the same time in the garden although we had identified at least 4 or 5 different characters.
Last night they all came in one after the other and for a while, we had 7 in the garden at the same time! We knew 4 of them were male as they spent most of the time fighting and we cringed as we watched a 3-way fight with 2 bashing the 3rd.
However, a fifth male appeared after 3 of the others had left. We knew he had been courting one of our lady residents as he came from her hideout. (And he’d been eating her private food supply)
He gave the unfortunate remaining male, who was still rolled up after being bashed by the other 3, a quick biff and went on his way. Surprisingly, the bashed one eventually unrolled and followed the bullies under the gate without taking any food or water.

We have 2 lady residents who seem to be much in demand and another female who occasionally visits but wisely stayed away last night! So that makes 8 in all. We await tonight’s episode……… and the possibility of hoglets in the near future.

That is great you have so many.
We had 3 last night but that does include the regular female Cyclops.
We are also hopeful there might be hogs.
    Fingers crossed.
