Despite having 2 deluxe hedgehog houses I suspected one of my ‘regulars’ had made an impressive den against the fence. To my delight my camera recorded a hedgehog last night in the den area. When putting the camera out again tonight I heard a fairly loud coughing noise coming from the suspected den. Any advice please as to whether I need to investigate further? I put food & water out but always keep my distance but am concerned about lungworm. Thanks

Perhaps there is a pair of them in there having a chat? Hopefully not the nasty lungworm. Keep an eye out for thick clear lumps of phlegm which is a sign of it in which case needs to go to a hog hospital for treatment.
