My husband found a tiny hedgehog alone in the middle of the road at about 4pm this afternoon. It weighs only 205g. He ate ravenously (cat food) and drank water and now he’s in a box with a hot water bottle. Presumably keeping him in and not releasing him is the right thing to do? Is there anything else we should be doing to care for him overnight until we can call a local rescue place in the morning? Thanks

Hello, what a tiny hedgehog – lucky you found it. Certainly sounds like you did the right thing. Hope you managed to contact a rescue centre.
