My last sighting of a hedgehog was of a hoglet on the Isle of Mull last week. Returning from out early one evening, we were driving along a narrow single-track road when the hoglet run across the road in front of us. My partner stopped the car and I got out to shepherd the hoglet safely across the road, whilst waving my partner slowly by. Once the hoglet had crossed safely, I got back in and we continued on our way.

The hoglet had all of its spikes but was still quite small. We’ve seen hedgehogs in this particularly part of Mull before, so it’s obviously a habitat they like.

    Hi Harriet Prickles

Well done helping the little hoglet out. Sounds like it was a lucky hoglet that it was you that came along just then!
