I accidently bought fish based cat biscuits. Can I safely give these to the hogs (assuming they won’t turn their noses up at them)

    Hi JAHW

Well they might turn their noses up – probably depends how hungry they are. But fish flavoured cat food doesn’t necessarily have much fish in it and also apparently other flavours can also have fish in them.

According to Vale Wildlife Hospital “there is no nutritional difference between fish flavoured food and any other flavour”. I attach a link of theirs to some more information about feeding hedgehogs:

If the hogs do turn their noses up, you might want to try mixing the food with another flavour.

    Good luck.

Thank you for the info Nic. It would appear that the two rather chunky hedgehogs, seen recently on the trail cam, are very happy to eat the fishy biscuits
