Hi all, sorry not been on for a while. Its been quiet here. I’ve tried to get onto the Hedgehog map, but things have changed, frankly, can’t make head nor tail of it. Wanted to report young Louie, born last Autumn. My husband and I had to scrape it off the road yest afternoon. Been run over with most of its insides on the road. Very upset. This is the second loss this year with someone using garden machinery last April, then hearing children screaming after finding a dead hog. That one was a male. Louie, no idea, suspect another male. No idea where the remaining 5 are. No food went last night after Louie died. Why we have 20mph zones no idea, we have idiots racing cars and more idiots racing off road bikes. Lancs police are taking the bikes and some cars and crushing them. Still no road signs from Lancs County Council, nor any reply even though the request has been done correctly. Thought this would be a good year for the hogs, but no. I wish you all lots of baby hogs and best wishes to all you lovely people out there who care.

    Hi Annker

So sorry to hear about the poor hedgehog. Must have been very distressing for you. Hopefully the others will come back. This is a time of year when some of them seem to disappear sometimes.

Hi Nic, thanks for reply. It has really upset me. It was a lovely young hog, clean and seemingly perfect. Not too friendly, but managed to get a good look at it when I put some food down for it and it stopped to eat it. Such a shame. Best wishes.
