When the hedgehog in my garden first started visiting in about the middle of April there were hedgehog droppings everywhere! Then I started leaving out some cat biscuits and water there still were hedgehog droppings everywhere all over my lawn, now there are none, I know that the hedgehog still visits most nights and eats the food I leave out and drinks the water because I see him on my wildlife camera. He likes going in the bushes maybe he just leaves his droppings in the bushes instead of on the lawn. Could this be something to worry about?
(I’m also suspecting that there’s more than one hedgehog from what I’ve seen with my own eyes and through the camera which makes me even more confused)
    Thanks

    Hi Ellie2016

Whilst some hogs seem to poo anywhere and everywhere, other hogs are more discreet in their habits. But also I’ve found that they seem more likely to poo more if there are others around – possibly a nervous thing, not sure. So it may be that the hogs are visiting at better spacing than they were, or possibly there were more hogs before and you didn’t realise, or there may be different hogs.

I would enjoy the holiday from clearing it all up!
