We have a resident hedghog who has befriended our cats and eats with them at the same time. We wondered why our cats were meowing ten minutes after we had fed them. Then we dicovered the hedgehog was sitting in the bowl over the food lol

Just saw a hedgehog sitting in the adapted guinea pig feeding station I made to keep the food dry – it refused to move out and was determined to finish the food in the bowl!

    Hi Merseychic and JulietB

It sounds likely that both of you have hoglets there. They are the ones who usually get right into the bowls to eat the food!

It sounds as if the hog was hungry, JulietB, but guinea pig food, probably isn’t the best thing for them. Try offering the hog cat/dog/hedgehog food instead then the guinea pig may be able to get it’s food back!
