Last night around 22:00, my landlord’s cat comes into the house shouting for me so I go down the stairs. I follow her towards the garden because I think that she is going to show me her flopping over as she usually does.

I open the door and she goes over to a dark shadow so I was quite confused. I turn on the torch and there is the first ever hedgehog I’ve ever seen. I was shook!! Obviously they don’t like the light so it disappeared off behind the planter before going up our stairs into the hedges.

I will be keeping a super close eye out now each night and if I see our small friend again, I’ll put out a plate of cat food and some water!!!

Thank you for having a read of my sighting story! Have a wonderful day, hedgehog lovers!! 🦔🦔🦔

    Hi Elithefluid

That’s lovely! The first sighting, ever, of a hedgehog is really something special. Thanks for sharing with us. What a clever cat to show you where to look!

Glad to hear you are planning on helping the hog by offering food and water – hopefully you will get more of them visiting once the message gets round.

Thanks again. Good luck and happy hog watching!
