I have about six Hedgehogs visiting but twice last night two different hogs attacked the same other hog. Anyone know why?

The ones attacking are probably males and as with ours they will not stand
any other males around especially if there is a female about.

    Hi Purplecarrot

As Helen says, they will be males. I found here that they tend to have a pecking order, so the ones at the bottom of the order tend to get biffed by all the others. One who has just been biffed by the boss hog will quite happily biff another one a short while later, if it happens to be lower in the pecking order. It doesn’t seem to do them any harm and the rolled up hogs will eventually unroll and walk off as if nothing happened.
