Lost our hedgehog, hasn’t been for food this week. Today I have found in the churchyard nearby, the full skin and spikes of a hog. The body has gone. Something has obviously attacked it. Has anybody else come across this?

    Hi chrisem

Sorry to hear about the poor hog. Do you by any chance have badgers in the neighbourhood? I have heard that the remains are sometimes like that when a hog has been predated by a badger. It may not be the same hog, though, as at this time of year, hogs quite often seem to disappear. But don’t forget to enter the poor hog you found on the Big Hedgehog Map.
