We have had 3 different hedgehogs in our garden over the past 2 weeks. The latest one is smaller and has taken up residence in our bonfire, which is a pity as it was too dry to light it in the summer and now we don’t want to dismantle it in case we disturb the hedgehog. This latest hedgehog has been here for the last week and is seen every evening. It was eating spilt birdseed but is now tucking into hedgehog food. Hopefully it will eat well and then hibernate for the winter. We are going to set up a trail camera to see if we can capture it on video and to see if we still have more than one visiting us.

It’s lovely to watch them. I started feeding one a few months ago and now there are 5 regulars plus a toad which has started to make an appearance…think he has a bit of wet cat food too! I feel lucky to have wildlife visiting our little garden. Hope you enjoy it too and you get some interesting camera footage 🙂
