I still have at least one hog visiting, captured on my trail camera each night, braving the snow, ice and sub-zero temperatures here in Rainham, Kent.

With all water frozen solid, they seem to really appreciate a dish of unfrozen water, with a Snugglesafe microwaveable heat pad beneath, keeping the water unfrozen most of the night.

What a fantastic idea! Think my last hedgehog visitor has stopping regular visiting but the birds also struggled with the water freezing over constantly in North Yorkshire.
Thank you – will try your idea and also continue scattering hedgehog round in case any rouse from hibernation.
