I have only heard this twice, but when mum leaves the nest to go to my feeding station, I hear crying from a nearby nest, I watched youtube of a hoglet crying for it’s mum and it’s the same sound.

But when mum returns to the nest all is quite again.

Haven’t seen the hoglets yet – but hopefully one day they will make an appearance and mum will show them how to get the food from the feeding station. Thankfully mum does a bit of foraging first before she goes to the feeding station, so she’ll be hopefully teaching them to forage aswell.

    Hi HedgieLover

You are lucky having hoglets nearby! They should have time to grow large enough for hibernation, too, which is good.

    Hope they all do well.
