I expect other people have done and posted about this before, but we’re fairly new to this & I wanted to blow my own trumpet just a little bit. I’d noticed from our camera footage that in recent weeks we haven’t been seeing “our” hedgehog catching much food on the lawn, which I put down to the dry weather making the soil hard & worms etc staying deeper. So, over the last few nights I’ve been watering a patch of lawn with a spray on the hose for about 5 minutes at around 8pm, and last night he (we’re pretty sure it’s male) caught 2 big earthworms in that area in 5 minutes at about 10:30 pm – well happy!
