Just got a hedge house

Seem to be getting daily visits. I live in a bit of fear as the hedgehog lives at the front of our house and we are on a busy main road in Southampton city.

Yes, the roads are always a worry. The best thing you can do to make it easier for the hogs not to cross roads, is to encourage everyone in the neighbourhood to make hedgehog highways. That way the hogs can access more habitat without having to cross roads.

Good luck. I hope you continue to get regular visits. Don’t worry too much if visits begin to ease off a bit – not long now before some of the hogs start hibernating.
