Hi, fairly sure we have a male hog staying with us at the moment (looks like it on camera), spends a lot of time going in and out of the nest box rather than disappearing for a few hours in the evening. He spent alot time gathering nesting material too a couple of nights ago. He eats well as we put down hedgehog biscuits and dog food. Has anyone else witnessed this behaviour at this time of year. If it definitely is a male, I thought he should be out looking for females? Just worried something may not be right. But don’t want to intervene unnecessarily. Thanks!

Well that behaviour is trypical of a female nest building. If it is then she will be close to her time and you may be lucky enough to see hoglets in a couple of months time ( or less )
Keep putting out the food and water

Yes I really hope so! Would be amazing. Will definitely keep up the feeding and watering and keep an out for any hoglets. Fingers crossed! Thanks.
