You will probably find most areas have have a local group that discusses everything within that area.
I found lots of posts relating to hedgehogs. So set up my own local FB group for hedgehogs . I started by responding to posts in the local group and after gaining lots of members placed a post advertising My local hedgehog group. I kept the group as closed so people have to ask to join. We now have over 150 members and the group is running smoothly.
Why not give it a try where you live.
