I knew we had at least one hedgehog in the in the garden as we released him ourselves in the spring after rescuing him last autumn, from our front door. Chris Bonnington we called him on account of his climbing abilities! He only weighed in at 300g, so too small to hibernate. We thought we spotted him a few times around the side of the house as he didn’t run off or seemed spooked by my voice.

Yesterday we took delivery of a Night Vision camera and confirmed we have at least four now! Three looked like a family then a fourth came by later and was spooked by the others returning.

First test of the camera and found we have many visitors!

That’s brilliant news. Interesting to hear that he is a good climber. Some people seem to think they aren’t, but they are known for their climbing ability. It might not always look pretty but seems to work.

Is there any chance you can put the films on Hedgehog Street YouTube as well? https://www.hedgehogstreet.org/have-you-been-filming-your-hedgehogs/
