Of the 19 wild ones that visit my garden i have seen Tiggy, Junior, Trudy, Queenie and Hermione. There is also a new one who seems very skittish.
He will stick his head through the hole under the big fence and have a looksie and a sniff and either come in and work his way slowly towards the big food dish or he will back off and revisit later.
I can’t see any nail polish on his spines so he must be new.

I mark mine with a bit of nail polish on their spines, different colors or color combinations and different locations so i can see who is who and keep track of weights and general heath as i check them each week as well as De-ticking any.
Hopefully i will get more babies this year, Tiggy and Junior usually get togeather.

Wow Goose that’s a lot of hogs! I have no idea how many we have visiting, but I do know that I am going to have to up their rations, they’re munching their way through 4 dishes of food a night at the moment and licking them clean.

Interesting that your hogs don’t mind being de-ticked. I have tweezers and a tick lasso at the ready, but I am a bit nervous about frightening them off. Although I do find that the odd tick is helpful in identifying who is who, until they drop off that is.
