a friend has put out some peanut butter. … blended
roasted bird nuts in the food processor with some coconut oil to a thick paste and put that out. Its not shop bought. Or has no sugar or salt in. Along with spikes dinner and sunflower hearts. They scoffed the lot……can you tell me if that is ok Just wondered about the peanut butter, even without sugar and salt…and coconut oil?

I would advise you to read under Champions Chat ‘ what to feed hedgehogs’, particularly with regard to the Calcium Phosphorus ratio in, amongst other things, peanuts, but also the piece from Hedgehog Bottom Rescue, with regard to feeding hedgehogs inappropriate things. They point out in that, that hedgehogs will eat all sorts of things, but it doesn’t mean that they are good for them. The spikes dinner is fine on its own, but the hogs would be better off without the rest. And why make work for yourself unnecessarily. But I guess you may be thinking along these lines already?

Not good for their teeth either. That’s another reason why hard biscuits/kibble such as Spikes Dinner are good for them.
